SPAAR 2018 Membership Renewal Notices were sent via email on August 18th from [email protected]. If you do not see your Renewal Notice in your Inbox, please check your SPAM and Junk folders so you do not miss out on this important information. As a reminder, if payment is not received on or before November 30th, a $50 late payment fee will be added to the amount due. To view important 2018 dues billing information, please click here. Advance notice - Meals From Heart Event, September 26 NEW DATE

SPAAR Needs YOU! (And 99 of your friends!). SPAAR’s Community Engagement Committee has partnered with Meals From The Heart for a meal-packing event at SPAAR on Tuesday, September 26. We will have three one-hour shifts, beginning at 1:00. Each shift, two teams will go head-to-head to claim bragging rights. (Teams are 15 to 20 volunteers).

Volunteer with your office, friends and family (age 10 and up). Put together a team with your office or company or join a team of all-stars. There is no charge for participating. Volunteers will package 30,000 (wow!) servings of nutritious, chef-created meals for distribution to local food shelves. Did you know that 15,000 families in our area are assisted by food shelves every month? You can help make an immediate, direct and significant impact on a serious problem. We Want to Take you Out to a Ball Game

SPAAR's Metro YPN committee wants to take you out to the ball game on Thursday, August 24. Mingle with other SPAAR members, and cheer on the home team from the Terrace at CHS Stadium. This event is open to all REALTORS and Affiliate members. This is a ticketed event - only $35 per person (includes ticket to the game and dinner buffet)

Better Communities Award
We are looking for members who are doing great things in the community for SPAAR's "Better Communities" Award. The award is given annually and its recipient honored at the Winter Social. A financial contribution of $1,000 will be awarded to the recipient’s charitable organization of choice. Eligibility Criteria: Nominees must be REALTOR® or Affiliate members in good standing with the Saint Paul Area Association of REALTORS®. Nominees should be a recognized leader in some community endeavor. Their contributions to a program and/or an organization should result in improving the quality of life in our service area and serve to demonstrate they care about the total well-being of the community. The award is designed to recognize individual contributions, not association or company wide efforts. However, if an individual within a company is instrumental to the triumph of a group effort, he or she is eligible. Download a NOMINATION FORM and submit to Joe McKinley by December 1, 2017.

News from RPR: Valuation models for REALTORS®

There’s a lot of talk in the real estate industry about automated valuation models (AVMs). Most AVMs are readily available to consumers, which presents a challenge for REALTORS® if they have to convince sellers that their home’s true value is less than what they found on the web, among other issues.

RPR has simplified the entire process with its Realtor Valuation Model® (RVM®), the most accurate valuation model in today’s market. Unlike consumer sites, the RVM, available only to REALTORS®, draws its valuations from both public records and MLS data. It’s the only one of its kind.

Don't Miss Housing Day at the Minnesota State Fair August 28

The Saint Paul Area Association of REALTORS®, MN REALTORS®, Minneapolis Area Association of REALTORS®, and Housing First Minnesota are coming together to host the largest gathering of housing industry professionals in the state! 

If you work in the housing industry, we invite you to join us for Housing Day at the Minnesota State Fair, on Monday, August 28. Bring your friends, family, and colleagues and represent your industry in front of thousands of fair-goers at the "Great Minnesota Get Together." Your local and state associations will have fun activities and a few surprises planned for you to add to your state fair experience. Activites and special events will be taking place between 10am and 3pm at the Horton Pavillions at Heffron Park.
