SPAAR members took to the Capitol for Housing Day

Taking part in Housing Day were 325 REALTORS® and builders who took to the State Capitol for the annual event, which was put on jointly by Minnesota REALTORS® and Housing First Minnesota. Housing Day provided an opportunity for SPAAR members and the other participants to meet face to face to share issues with 156 of Minnesota's legislators. The event concluded with a networking reception.

Blue Star Mothers receives additional community support
After learning about SPAAR's Blue Star Mothers Collection Drive, SPAAR member-emeritus Bill Tschohl from Apple Valley approached American Legion Post #1776. Bill asked the Legion's Gambling Committee for a grant to underwrite costs of shipping We Care packages to members of the military serving active duty, and the American Legion responded with a $1,000 grant to the Blue Star Mothers of America.

Thank you, Bill, for making this connection---and thank you to the American Legion Post #1776 for your generous gift.
The Blue Star Mothers Collection Drive runs through March 29. Visit spaar.com for more information about where to donate or to host a donation box at your office.
Weekly safety tips as provided by SPAAR and its members
SPAARky says:
Keep it sturdy.
Help your clients with home safety. Encourage them to be sure the home's doors and windows have good, sturdy and workable locks, and that all points of entry in their homes are locked and monitored as needed.
SPAAR members have shared some great tips, too, including:

"I always keep a shovel, hat, gloves, boots and phone charger in my car in case it breaks down or I get stuck on the road somewhere. I keep these extra supplies in my car until winter is completely over."

Did you know SPAAR offers the class Safety Matters? This one-hour class is approved for one Continuing Education credit, and can be presented at your office sales meeting. Inquire for more details by emailing spaar@spaar.com. Let's work together to make safety a top priority!
