SPAAR Welcomes New Government Affairs Director SPAAR is pleased to announce that Forrest Cyr has joined the team as Government Affairs Director. Forrest comes to SPAAR from the Builders Association of MN (BAM) where he was Director of Government Affairs and Communications. At BAM his responsibilities included lobbying for common-sense, pro-housing legislation and coordinating electoral advocacy efforts through BAMs PAC. He has also worked as a contract lobbyist where one of his main clients was a large non-profit health care system. Forrest brings strong skills in policy analysis (especially related to housing issues), advocacy and coalition building to the position. 2017 Fair Housing Poster Contest Awards Congratulations to first graders from Mounds Park Academy, winners of the 2017 Fair Housing Poster Contest. The entries were on display at SPAAR's Saint Paul office through the month of April, and winners were determined by member votes. SPAAR's Diversity Committee visited the school today to present the awards. |

SPAAR Accepting Nominations for Board of Directors Consider being on the Board of Directors for the Saint Paul Area Association of REALTORS®. The 2017 Nominating Committee is looking to fill three director positions. This position has a three-year term and directors are asked to make attending all Board meetings a priority. SPAAR is also accepting applications for three officer positions: Treasurer, President-elect, and President.

June is License Renewal Month: Review Your CE Transcript All licenses are on a two-year renewal cycle. All agents are required to complete at least 15 hours of approved Continuing Education every year, for a total of 30 in each renewal cycle. The 2016 - 2017 module requirement is "Residential Contracts. The deadline for continuing education credits is June 30, 2017 (Agents should check with their broker as their deadline could be earlier). Make sure you have met all your requirements by visiting www.pulseportal.com and following the INSTRUCTIONS TO VIEW YOUR CE TRANSCRIPT. Note: In order to receive an email notification in the case of license suspension, please make sure that your email address is current with the MN Department of Commerce.
