SPABA COMMUNITY OF PRACTICE EVENT (SCOPE)

JULY 11, 2023

We are delighted to announce that SCOPEs will be

resuming, bi-monthly starting July 11, 2023!

SCOPE 13: Barbara Esch, Ph.D., BCBA-D, CCC-SLP, will be discussing her new Early Echoic Skills Assessment and Program Planner Guide and Protocol (EESA).

This unique set is an assessment tool (EESA-R) and a program planning resource that is perfect for anyone responsible for teaching early speech skills, regardless of your learner’s age.

The EESA evaluates and guides the development of your learner’s ability to echo, or repeat, what is heard. Strong echoic skills support and fast-track the acquisition of other spoken language skills, like asking for things, commenting on one’s environment, and having conversations—all powerful and useful tools for communication!

The EESA Guide and Protocol form a combination textbook, echoic skills assessment, program planning guide, and materials resource. Using a behavioral training approach, users design fun, reinforcing, and effective speech-language programs for their learners.
