Mooney Applauds County Executive, Coalition of Legislators For Signing a Fiscally Prudent Budget That Does Not Raise the Tax Levy and Protects the County Reserve Fund
Bill Mooney, President of the Westchester County Association, the County's leading business membership and advocacy organization released the following statement about this afternoon's dramatic passage of the 2013 Westchester County Budget:
"The Westchester County Association applauds the coalition of Westchester County Legislators, especially those who bravely put public interest ahead of partisan politics to pass a compromise budget.
"The 2013 Budget demonstrates fiscal responsibility by neither raising the County Tax Levy nor raiding the Reserve Fund, important in encouraging economic development and job creation. It also maintains essential safety net services. These are the guiding principals that the WCA has consistently advocated for."
