We are excited to welcome to shul this Shabbat -- both Friday night and Shabbat morning - a new guest Ba'al Tephilla, Noah Bar-Shain. Click Here see Noah in a KippaLive Accapella Performance. We hope you'll come and join us and get to know this new possible addition to our rotation.
EARLY SHABBAT THIS WEEK!
In light of the lateness of Shabbat candle-lighting time during the summer, Shir Hadash will experiment with an "Early Shabbat" option.*
Our goal in moving the tephillot on Shabbat evening to an earlier time is to not only make it easier for more adults to attend (as suggested by recent surveys), but also - importantly - to insure the possibility that our children can participate as well.
The first "Early Shabbat" will be this Friday night and will include a variety of celebratory elements to help make it special. The schedule is as follows:
Mincha 6:13 PM
Candle Lighting (after) 6:19 PM
L'Chaim and Light Refreshments 6:25 PM
Kabalat Shabbat 6:40 PM (the delayed kabalat Shabbat time affords those lighting at home the time to make it to shul in time for Kabalat Shabbat)
THIS WEEK'S EARLY SHABBAT EXPERIENCE INCLUDES:
A Jumping Castle
Starting at Mincha Time
And L'Chaims (for adults)
& A Waffle Bar (for everyone)
*Please note, for those interested in regular Shabbat tephillot, our Emek Refaim branch will continue at this later time all summer long.
Shir Hadash's activities take place in Beit Natan(named after JJ Greenberg),located at Yakov Rubin Street #1 in Jerusalem (Click here for Map), and on the Jonathan Pear Farm in Rosh Pina.
