Children's Church @ Home
Hello Parents,
Below is Special Edition number eleven of Children's Church at Home. Our sermon this week comes from one of our amazing Lay Ministers, Doug Howe. He will be sharing a message based on the scripture from Jeremiah 29:11.

I love this verse because it is full of hope for those who love Christ. But, it is also hard to talk about big plans when the future is so uncertain. When we begin to think that way, I'm thankful we can turn to the Lord in prayer for comfort and peace.

Try to make a couple of fun, Christ centered plans or goals with the kids this summer. Plans that remind us that God is in control and give the family something to look forward to.

Stay well and hopeful sweet friends. Through all the mess, God is with us and has big plans to prosper us!!

Lots of Love,
Ms. Courtney

Big Plans

This week we will read about Jeremiah and God's message to him.
Grab your bible and turn to Jeremiah 29:11-13 or read along here .

I love, love, love this verse! It's so exciting to know that the same God who created the whole universe has a plan for little ole me! And guess what...He has a plan for you too!!

But sometimes life gets really hard and we may begin to feel confused and lost. We may wonder why bad things happen and why God doesn't stop them from happening. Like people getting sick, school, sports and parties getting cancelled, and people around us feeling afraid. You might ask, where is God and what is going to happen next?

God is right here with us...through it all. He sees our struggle and promises to bring us through all things and make us stronger. All we have to do is have faith in Him. Life is not easy for anyone, but when we follow the Lord we are on the right path. A path that leads us out of darkness and into hope.

God has a plan of peace and a future full of hope for us all! So even if life gets really hard, we can be happy because we know that the God of the universe is in control. Take comfort in your family and count the blessings that God has given you. Before we were ever born God had a plan for us. I wonder what big plans he has in store for you?!

Family Questions:

-Who is talking to Jeremiah in our verse this week?
-What was the message shared with Jeremiah?
-How could Jeremiah be heard by God?
-What big plans do you think God has for you?

Family Craft & Activity:

Here is a link for a craft to make a watermelon fan . This will be great to bring when we return to Sunday worship in the amphitheater!

As a family, discuss a big summer plan you may be able to do together. A garden, campout, treasure hunt, road trip to the beach, etc. Or it can be a personal goal...learn to ride a bike, read the Bible every day, clean out your bedroom and donate unused toys, learn to play an instrument, etc. Make a summer goal or plan to accomplish by summer's end.

Dear Plan Maker,

Help me to trust in your plan for me. Thank you for listening to my prayers. I call on you with all my heart and know you are with me.

Dance Party 🥳

We have a good Father who has great big plans for us! Let us give thanks and worship the Lord!!
