Making the case for workforce housing

How housing programs for staff and faculty can benefit community colleges

When it comes to housing-related staffing challenges, community colleges are no exception. Just like four-year universities and K-12 school districts, California’s community colleges are struggling to recruit, retain, and replace faculty and staff amid skyrocketing housing costs. CAMPUS FACILITY MANAGEMENT

Community colleges explore new approaches to campus center management

Faced with evolving student needs and ongoing financial pressures, many community colleges are rethinking how they manage campus facilities like recreation centers, student unions, and housing. Some are turning to third-party operators to help balance operational efficiency with student engagement goals. One such partner is CENTERS, a B&D company, which has recently expanded its work with two-year institutions to support mission-aligned management strategies across a range of campus assets.

ABOUT: Established in 1998 by Brailsford & Dunlavey, CENTERS was the first company in the U.S. to provide campus center management services for campus life facilities including sports venues, recreation and wellness facilities, student centers, performing arts venues, conference facilities, and more. Visit or View for more info.
