A SPECIAL PRESENTATION

The National Civil Rights Museum presents highlights of this year's "Remembering MLK: The Man. The Movement. The Moment." on the 55th anniversary of his death.



The encore presentation features:

  • Musical performances by the W. Crimm Singers and the fellows of Iris Symphony, Memphis Symphony Orchestra, and University of Memphis
  • Highlights from remarks by civil rights icon Xernona Clayton, Ambassador Andrew Young, keynote speaker Rev. Dr. Otis Moss III, and Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights, US DOJ, Kristen Clarke.
  • Special balcony wreath-laying and tributes to Dr. King.

The National Civil Rights Museum joins The King Center to present “MLK55: Transforming Unjust Economic Systems” in honor of Dr. King’s life and legacy on the 55th anniversary of his death. The collaboration features the organizations’ leaders, Dr. Bernice A. King and Dr. Russ Wigginton, and is moderated by Jocelyn Dorsey, a veteran Atlanta anchor/producer.

The Harvard Alumni Allyship Series features Kerry Kennedy, President of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights in conversation with Dr. Russ Wigginton, President of the National Civil Rights Museum who reflect on Dr. King’s and Senator Kennedy’s leadership legacy, their messages for peace, justice, and equality, and the implications for today’s world.
