by Kacy Meier

Y'all remember Kacy, right? Scruffy's mom who comes to church, often with her grandchildren, and sits in the front row with Scruffy. (See fake photo right.) Kacy has huge wisdom to share with us, and I (Sue) asked her to write some things for our newsletter, and she has sent her first two installments. What follows is installment one:

RELIGION: I have heard people say "You must join my religion, is it the only one that is true." But there are many different religions that say that. Are they all wrong? No, they are all right for those who believe as they do.

All religions are right because they all lead to the same "Supreme Being." All lead to the "God." All religions believe in a supreme being. Each with their own name. Although the names may be different, they are all the same one, "God." I call that one "Great Spirit." In this case, I mean "Great" as all and "Spirit" as all-encompassing love.

Each religion needs some special aspect of the "Great Spirit" to fulfill what its followers need. Each religion needs some special aspect of the "Great Spirit" to fulfill what its followers need. Each religion follows its own path to the "Great Spirit." None are wrong.

We need to accept all religions as right for those who follow it. We need to accept all religious beliefs as true. All lead to the same "Great Spirit."
