The excitement is literally building by the hour as we get closer to the Ordination and Consecration of The Rev. Thomas James Brown as the 10th Bishop of Maine. On Saturday, June 22nd, Episcopalians and people of many different faiths and those who may be looking for a spiritual home, will be watching the service via live stream technology.

Shout outs to:

Christ Church - Gardiner
St. Columba's - Booth Bay
St. John Baptist - Thomaston
St. Margaret's - Belfast
St. Patrick's - Brewer
St. Savior's - Bar Harbor

who are hosting watch parties. If you are planning to host a party, please let us know. Remember, the events will be recorded and accessible on the diocesan website for viewing later.

We are looking forward to sharing the service on Sunday from the Temple at Ocean Park with people via live stream. Presiding Bishop Michael Curry will be preaching.

We will send out a link to the live stream for both events early next week and testing connections with parishes on Thursday, June 20th at 5:30 PM and again on Friday at a time to be determined. (We'll let you know.)

We have made every possible accommodation to make this a simple process for everyone to enjoy a seamless experience. The worship service program will be available online the minute it has been finalized and produced.

Months of planning and execution will allow people all over our beautiful state, indeed the whole world, to witness this solemn occasion and the laying on of hands of our new bishop.
