SPEF is committed to Afterschool Enrichment in South Pasadena. We offer a robust assortment of classes that supplement the school day. Students enjoy a learning in a hands-on, engaging environment without feeling like they are still in class. Each year, hundreds of elementary and middle school students attend classes ranging from visual and performing arts, sports, science and technology.

*The Robotics Academy classes at MHS and SPMS start at the end of August.

* Mandarin Language at MAR and MHS start at the end of August.

Intensive Mandarin Language Program

MANDARIN ACADEMIC AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM

South Pasadena Educational Foundation (SPEF) and the South Pasadena Chinese-American Club (SPCC) are pleased to offer a beginning level and an intermediate level after school Mandarin programs for the 2017-2018 school year. Enroll in both Fall and Spring semesters for a year-round course.

BEGINNER LEVEL:

Where: Monterey Hills Elementary School

When: Tuesday & Thursday - 3:15 - 5:15

Fall Session runs from Sept 7 - January 25

Spring Session runs from January 30 - May 24

Who: K - 5th Grade Students

This class is designed for students who are beginners with the Mandarin language.

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL:

Where: Marengo Elementary School

When: Monday & Wednesday - 3:15 - 5:15

Fall Session runs from Sept 6 - January 24

Spring Session runs from January 29 - May 23

Who: K - 5th Grade Students who met the below requirements

This class is designed for students who have attended the beginner or advanced beginner courses in the past or have exposure to speaking, listening, reading, and writing the Mandarin language.

REGISTRATION & TUITION:

Tuition: $688 per semester

*Information regarding enrollment will be shared with the SPCC &SPUSD to be used in the running and execution of the classes and safety of the students while on campus.
