At SPHA, our mission goes beyond providing housing. We are dedicated to helping residents thrive by creating supportive communities where every individual has the opportunity to grow, achieve stability, and build a brighter future. Your success is at the heart of everything we do.

SPHA in the Community

On September 18th, Mr. Lundy spoke at the North Kenwood Neighborhood Association meeting. He provided updates on The Edward White Campus project taking place in the North Kenwood neighborhood.

Crafting Family Trees

On September 17th, SPHA organized a fun Family Night event at Disston Place Apartments. Families enjoyed a creative activity of crafting family trees!

Advisory Commission on Aging

On September 10th, Mr. Lundy addressed the Advisory Commission on Aging. He provided updates on The Edward White Campus project.

City Council Meeting

On September 4th, Mr. Lundy addressed the City of St. Petersburg City Council. Mr. Lundy shared updates on SPHA's resident services, current and future real estate developments, and the agency's long-term vision.

Back to School

On August 5th, SPHA hosted a back-to-school event in Jordan Park. The SPHA Back 2 School Bash was a community-focused celebration that helped SPHA families prepare for the new school year.

Construction Camp

On July 31st, SPHA celebrated the youth graduating from our Summer Construction Camp. The camp was part of the Rock Solid Protégé Mentorship Program, led by Mr. Okoye Morgan, owner of Rock Solid Construction & Development, Inc.

Youth Champions

SPHA, in partnership with the St. Petersburg Police Department, is continuing its support for local youth who have been exposed to violence. The Youth Champions program offers youth a safe, supportive environment where they can begin to heal from trauma. The program has now been extended through June 2026.

Special Visit

On July 10th, SPHA welcomed representatives from Mr. Lundy's former employer, the Housing Authority of the Birmingham District (HABD). They traveled to St. Petersburg to interview Mr. Lundy. HABD is producing a documentary video commemorating its 90th anniversary.

Snack & Chat

On July 2nd, SPHA hosted a Snack & Chat event in Jordan Park. Designed as an informal communication forum, the event provided an opportunity to strengthen the relationship between SPHA administration and residents through open dialogue in a relaxed setting.
