Say Hello to Andre
Originally from Westchester, NY, Andre moved to Youngsville in 2023.
One of Andre's New Year's goals in 2024 was to make new friends. So, after reviewing Wake Forest PRCR's lineup of programs and activities, he started taking the cooking classes and loved them. He also made several new friends!
Andrew, age 19, plays five instruments and was in his high school marching band before graduating in 2023.
After high school, he attended a vocational school to acquire a pet care certificate. He loves dogs and currently works at the animal shelter. He also drives and has a part-time job at Harris Teeter. Last - but not least - he loves to dance and attended our Snowball Dance in December.
If you get a chance to meet Andre, be sure to say hello!

Event Recap
On Sunday, Jan. 12, we partnered with Special Olympics NC and the Wake Forest Pickleball Club to host a pickleball clinic!
Thanks to some amazing volunteers, our athletes learned skills like handling a paddle, dinking the ball, and serving. They also got the opportunity to play some games to practice those newfound skills.
A big thank you to all the volunteers, coaches, and Special Olympics staff who made this event a success! We look forward to more events like this and continuing to provide opportunities for athletes to grow and thrive in sports!
