"MEET ME"

Hi, I'm Carol Ford.

Many who attend the 11:00am Mass will recognize me as I help the deaf parishioners by being the Sign Language Interpreter sitting in front of the section just next to the music group.

I am also co-coordinator of the F.I.S.H. Ministry who offers assistance to members of the parish who may be isolated by health circumstances, age, or other things that can make life difficult.

If you have questions regarding the F.I.S.H. Ministry or Sign Language for the deaf, please see me after Mass.  I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have about these two important ministries.

"MEET ME"

Hi, I'm Judy Citroni.

I am active with the Welcoming Committee ministry.  This ministry is responsible for welcoming new parishioners.

Besides me, the current ministry members include:
  • Joyce Swanson
  • Kathy Schroen
  • Jenny Moreira
  • Mary Leach
  • Patricia Breidenbach
  • Karen Cowger
  • Armand Citroni
I usually attend Saturday 5:00pm Mass and sit in the center aisle either up front or middle.

Many of our new parishioners that have attended our welcome luncheon have become very active in our church by participating in our Bible studies, Women walking with purpose study, Greeters, Music Group, and other ministries and activities.

If you have questions regarding the Welcoming Committee ministry, please see me after Mass.  I'll be happy to answer any questions you might have about this important ministry.
Welcoming Committee

The Welcoming Committee seeks to include and embrace all new parishioners into the St. Philip Neri community by exemplifying the words of Scripture, all guests who present themselves are to be welcomed as Christ, for he himself will say:  "I was a stranger and you welcomed me."  (Matt. 25:35).

Luncheons are held quarterly for new parish members, giving them an opportunity to meet our Pastoral Staff, get information on parish ministries and activities, ask any questions they may have about our parish.  Our goal is to make all new parishioners feel warm and welcome into our parish community.

For more information or to become a volunteer, please contact Judy Citroni at jecitroni@gmail.com or  call the Parish Office 410-859-0571

Did you know ????

It is ok to receive communion on the tongue if you're hands are full?

This is actually the preferred method.  Perhaps you're carrying a child... perhaps you're using a walker or cane.... perhaps you're holding onto a loved one..... perhaps you simply don't have two free hands.  There's no need to juggle what you're carrying to receive in your hand - simply receive by mouth.  When this is the case, feel free to receive Holy communion by tongue.  Simply open your mouth, stick out your tongue slightly, receive, then consume.  If you have any questions on how to receive, please see any Priest, Deacon or Eucharistic Minister before/after Mass.  They will be happy to advise.
