Principal's Message

Dear SPN Families,

I hope this message finds all of you healthy and enjoying a fun start to the summer. I want to thank all of the SPN school community for the heroic and generous manner in which you managed the end of the school year. First, extraordinary gratitude to our healthy faculty and staff who maintained a smooth and meaningful end of the year for our students. Special thanks to Ms.Turner and Mrs. Foster for managing the last week of school including substitutes and closing events, to our wonderful Instructional Aides– Mrs. Ratto, Mrs. Serles, and Mrs. Schopf– who did double duty in the Office, and to all of you for your understanding and cooperation.

I am happy to announce that we have hired an 8th Grade Homeroom and Language Arts teacher. Mr. Steven Epperson will be joining our wonderful middle school team. Mr. Epperson has a Catholic Education background and a sincere enthusiasm for the subject matter and the students he will serve here at St. Philip Neri. We welcome Mr. Epperson to our Spartan family!

I also want to welcome the 35 new students and 18 new families who will be joining the SPN community in August! All families please see the dates and reminders below so you are prepared for the start of school. We will send out a newsletter in the second week of August. Until then, be safe, stay healthy, have fun, and be sure your vacation plans include prayer and Mass.

School Information and Updates

SPN Office Summer Hours: The office will be closed starting July 4th. We will reopen on July 28th. Office hours through August 15th are 9am - 2pm. From the 16th on we are open weekdays, 8am - 3pm. Full 7:30am - 4pm hours start on August 24th.
Summer Uniform Sale: The Classic Designs crew will be here with their line of uniform offerings on Sunday, July 17th from 9am - 1pm in O'Brien Hall. New families, here is a map of the SPN campus.
New Family Welcome Event: The SPN Parent Teacher Group (PTG) is happy to welcome all new students and their families to an evening event on Thursday, August 18th. Preschool, TK, and K families may arrive at 5:30pm to tour their classrooms, then join other new families in the SPN garden at 6p.m. New families will receive more information in early August.
SPN Wins Best Of!: We are thrilled to announce that the SPN Preschool won Parents Press Best Of Faith-Based Preschools 2022! SPN was also in the Top 5 of Parents Press Best Of Faith-Based Elementary and Faith-Based Middle Schools. Go Spartans!

School Happenings

Accreditation News: It's official, SPN once again received accreditation for the full 6 year term based on our March visit by the WCEA team. Congratulations to our faculty and staff for their consistently excellent work!

Our rescheduled last day of school had a lovely addition to kick off the summer - an ice cream truck! Here are some 2nd and 4th graders enjoying their chilly treat on what was a very warm day!
