Dear Saint Philip Neri Catholic School Families,
Summer greetings! Mrs. Schmitz, Mr. Carter and I have returned to the office to prepare for the 2022-23 school year. We hope that you all have been able to enjoy a fun-filled and healthy summer and are ready and enthused to begin a new school year. A special welcome to our over 45 new students and over 25 new families!
Each year our school theme helps us to focus on how we can be living examples of the Gospel message. Our theme this year is “Faith, Hope & Love". In the classroom as well as a whole school community, we will focus on each of these virtues during each of the three trimesters this year.
We look forward to welcoming our new families and students at two PTG sponsored events this month. First, on Saturday, August 13th from 10:00 a.m.-noon new families are welcome to meet at the large play structure on the “big yard". Then on Thursday, August 18th new families are invited to a reception in the SPN Garden from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Preschool, TK, and Kindergarten families are invited to come that evening at 5:30pm to tour their classrooms before the garden reception.
There will be much more information to share with you as we get closer to the first day of school, Wednesday, August 24. Our weekly newsletters are our main avenue of providing news and information to you all, so be sure to keep an eye out in your email inbox each week (on Tuesdays during the school year). Additionally, homeroom teachers will be communicating with their grade level families prior to the first day of school, no later than August 17th.
In the meantime, enjoy these final weeks of summer, and let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We are all looking forward to another joyful year of learning and growing at Saint Philip Neri Catholic School.
Warmly,
Julie Thomas
Principal
