Mandatory Meetings: Prior to each grade returning to campus, there will be a mandatory parent zoom meeting to review the new protocols and practices for onsite learning. The following is the schedule for the mandatory meetings with zoom links sent directly to your classes.
1st/2nd grades: Nov. 12th at 7pm (note: updated from 6:30pm)
3rd -5th grades: Nov. 18th at 7pm
Extended Care: We will open Share and Care under the county guidelines of stable cohorts, with the first cohort starting on November 10th. You have been notified if your child is in the first Share and Care cohort. We are restricted to 16 students per cohort and anticipate the second cohort beginning in either December or January. Please know we are doing our best to accommodate all of our essential workers.
Uniforms: Now that students are returning to campus for in-person instruction, uniforms are required for both our remote and in-person classes. All distance learners, regardless of when their class returns to school, are required to wear the uniform shirt and sweatshirt (if needed) as of Tuesday, November 10th.
Self-Service Uniform Exchange: On Thursday and Friday this week from 10am - 2pm, donated, "gently used" SPN uniforms will be set up on tables in the yard for families interested in finding/exchanging uniforms at no cost. The Fountain St. gate will be open for your convenience. Please practice social distancing, and wear masks when "shopping".
Halloween Wave Parade: This Halloween was so different, yet we found a way to come together as a community to celebrate. THANK YOU for decorating your cars and yourselves and coming to the Wave Parade. We loved seeing all of your creativity!
Wildfire Relief Fund: From Monday, November 2nd to Thursday, November 19th, the SLC is collecting money to aid the victims of this year’s California wildfires. The money donated will be given to the American Red Cross, and we hope to reach $500. A box will be set up in the front office for your contributions and both cash and checks will be accepted. Please make checks payable to SPN, with “2020 SPN Wildfire Project” written on the memo line. The results of the operation will be announced after Thanksgiving break!
PTG STEAM Event: If you have not picked up your pre-ordered STEAM kit for tomorrow night, please remember to come by the office!
Book Fair: This year's Online Book Fair opens next week! Join your kids in exploring titles and plots and discovering inspiring characters. Empower them by letting them choose the books to purchase—and bring on the joy of reading! Remember, every dollar you spend will benefit our school directly (25% back in rewards!). Be sure to visit the Fair from Nov. 7 - Nov. 20. Some amazing features:
- Over 6,000 items, including new releases, best sellers, and value packs
- All orders ship direct to home
- FREE shipping on book-only orders over $25
We can’t wait to “see” you there!
