Dear Families,
Today we witnessed a long standing American tradition: the peaceful transfer of power. We celebrate our democracy today and are reminded of the words of Pope Francis, “How important it is to dream together… By ourselves, we risk seeing mirages, things that are not there. Dreams, on the other hand, are built together.’ Let us dream, then, as a single human family, as fellow travelers sharing the same flesh, as children of the same earth which is our common home, each of us bringing the richness of his or her beliefs and convictions, each of us with his or her own voice, brothers and sisters all. “
Survey - Important: We have created three surveys: TK-2 Hybrid Learning Survey, TK-2 Remote Learning Survey and 3rd-8th grade Remote Learning Survey. Please take a moment to complete the surveys that correspond to your child’s current learning program at SPN. It is important for our data that we do not get two responses from parents in the same household, so please complete the surveys together. Our 2nd trimester ends March 11th. THE SURVEY ASKS IF YOU WANT TO BE IN PERSON OR REMAIN IN DISTANCE LEARNING. We need this information to prepare the cohorts for the third trimester.
Return to School: We are thrilled to welcome back our 3rd and 4th graders on Monday, January 25th. We will continue our slow and safe approach to bringing back other classes for in-person instruction.
This week our middle school will come to campus for a socially distanced retreat. We are so excited to see the students! These outdoor activities are optional for families. Our intent is to provide a space for our students to connect - with masks, physically distanced. Remember to please keep your child home if you have recently traveled outside the county, been in close contact with anyone with Covid or if they have any of the Covid symptoms.
SPN Auction 2021 (aka the Crab Feed): MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR MARCH 5th! Although very different, this year's SPN Auction 2021 will be amazing! Invite your friends and family to join. We are not limited by space! The auction committee is seeking volunteers to help create and compile online auction items. If you have suggestions about ideas for an auction item, please email those to allisongrant21@yahoo.com.
Service Project - Catholic Schools Week: Our school-wide service project for Catholic Schools week will support Building Futures. This organization is a part of Alameda County’s Coordinated Entry System, which is made up of three mid-county resource centers that connect clients with shelter, interim housing, rapid re-housing and permanent supportive housing.
