Principal's Message

Dear Families,

Thank you for joining us last night for the general session Back to School night. You can find the presentation on the Distance Learning tab on our website. We appreciate your partnership and community! Connection is our theme and we have a fun connection activity planned for all grades during the month of September. Look for details next week!

Tonight is the live session Back to School night for first through third grade. The live session for 4th and 5th Grades is on Wednesday and the Middle School session is on Thursday. See the flier below for details. All teachers will send a general video about the curriculum, grading and expectations for the school year. The live sessions are for teachers to review the distance learning platforms and emphasize expectations for distance learning.

First Spirit Day: The SLC will be hosting the first spirit day for the school year - Wacky Wednesday, September 23rd. Look for details next week and through the room parents.

SPN masks: Get your COVID swag - SPN masks are in stock at the office now! Here's our mail carrier sporting some SPN spirit! You can purchase one in the office for $10. We have children and adult sizes.

Lead Art Docents needed: Fulfill those parent volunteer hours and sign up to teach art to your child’s class. We are looking for lead art docents for TK, 5th and 6th grade. Contact Raven at raven_h13@yahoo.com if you are interested or would like more details.

Updated Alameda County Health Order: Please find the most recent Alameda County update to school reopening guidelines here. At this time, we have no changes to our school programs due to this update.

Absent or Tardy: Please remember to contact the Home Room teacher and cc spnadmissions@csdo.org if your child will be absent or tardy. We cannot provide an excused absence if only the student reports their absence.

Parent/Student Handbook and Technology Acceptable Use: Please read the addenda to the Parent and Student handbook and the updated Technology Acceptable Use policy. After you have read both documents with your child, please complete this linked signature form. All families need to complete this form.

Need Parent Volunteers Hours? Please contact the office if you are interested in getting involved to build Community and support Development.

M.U.S.E. Band: lease see flyer below for details on the M.U.S.E. Band music program for students this year.

What a great first week. Enjoy these pictures of our preschool in action. They are so lucky they get to be in school! We have two openings, so please spread to the word.

applicable grade level presentations. For grade sessions

please use your standard class zoom information

which can be found on your class schedule.
