We fast from judging others,

but feast on patience.

We fast from discouragement,

We fast from problems that overwhelm,

Principal's Message

Dear Families,

The litany for Lent above offers alternative ways to fast and feast on our Lenten journey. As you spend quiet time in prayer this week, decide what you will choose to “fast from” and "feast on" this Lent.

SPN Auction!! Did you reserve your ticket yet? Did you invite friends and family to join the event? This year is like no other, and our annual Auction (aka Crab Feed) will also be different. THIS IS OUR MOST IMPORTANT FUNDRAISER OF THE YEAR! There is no cost to join. Support Alameda by bidding on class baskets. Need a new piece of art? Bid on your child’s class art! Want to get away (who doesn’t)? Bid on the vacation homes! Miss gatherings? Bid on some of the creative parties that meet COVID guidelines! Raise your paddle for our SPN COVID Makeover - bathroom upgrades and technology enhancements! Register today! Dinner orders are closing Monday, March 1st. Remember to get your event goodie bag!

Uniform Exchange: We will have an open air Uniform Exchange on Wednesday, March 3rd from 9:00a.m. - 2:00p.m. The uniforms will be sorted and placed on tables outside the school gates on Jackson street. Please feel free to come and take what you need. There will be an area set aside for uniform donations. Remember to wear a proper mask and physically distance from others.

Reconciliation: Father Joseph and Father Joel will offer outside, masked, physically distanced reconciliation during Lent for 3rd - 8th graders who have parent approval. We will coordinate this for students who are on campus for in-person instruction and there will be a Google sign-up for our distance learners. We will forward the schedule once it is complete.

TK- 5th Third Trimester: In-person Hybrid or Distance Learning? Remember to complete this one question survey about whether or not your child will attend in-person instruction or hybrid instruction for the final trimester that begins March 16th. THIS IS DUE NO LATER THAN MARCH 5th

6th-8th Grade Third Trimester: In-person Hybrid or Distance Learning? If you haven't responded yet to the Middle School survey we sent, please do so by the end of today, Tuesday, February 24th.

SLC Spirit Day tomorrow: Get your game on and dress up to represent your favorite team or sport for Sports Day!

Community Thank You Response: Our 1st grade class sent thank-yous to their mail carriers and received a great signed thank you card in return from the whole regional USPS crew.
