Dear Families,
As we continue our journey through Lent, let us focus on how we can be better people through our commitment to honoring and celebrating our differences, engaging positively in the world, and acting with kindness.
SPN Auction: What an evening! I enjoyed the delicious Asena dinner, had my dance shoes on for the Dance Party, and did a terrible job on the trivia. What fun! A huge shout out to Auction Chairs Bryan Thomas and Allison Grant, and the Auction Committee: Gina Schaffer, Joanne Lancaster, and Sarah Pastran. SPN staff, Gina Foster and Michelle Hall, deserve a huge thank you, as do other day-of staff helpers, Brooke Turner, Maureen Schopf and Elena Serles. Thank you! The night would not have been complete without the art projects, so another huge thank you goes out to Raven Mihok, Pamela Jordan-Watters, and all the Art Docents. Thanks to this amazing team and our incredible community, we grossed over $100,000! Go Spartans!

Trimester 3: On March 16th, we head into our last trimester for the 2020-2021 school year! Based upon survey results, some cohorts have been restructured. Later this week, teachers will send to all classes updated schedules (if there are changes) and cohort lists. This includes Middle School classes, who we eagerly welcome back for in-person instruction!
Reconciliation: Father Joseph and Father Joel began reconciliation outside, masked, physically distanced in the garden for grades 3rd-8th. Today 3rd graders either received a blessing or engaged in the sacrament of Reconciliation. Tomorrow, 5th grade will have the opportunity from 10:40a.m. - 11:10a.m.

From the Family Mass Team
Beginning March 7, please pick up a Lenten/Holy Week Fun Bag for your children (ages 4-10) or grandchildren made available by the Family Mass team. Each bag includes a "Color your Lenten Journey Map" as well as a Holy Week book for children, scented crayons and a surprise. You'll find the pick up box in the church vestibule at St. Philip Neri, which can be accessed before and after each mass. (Please rest assured, the bags were assembled using COVID-safe protocols). While Family Masses are on hold for the time being, we encourage you to continue participating with your children by using the materials provided to help them on their Lenten journey. We wish you a blessed Lenten season!
