Principal's Message

Dear Families,

Can you believe we have little more than two weeks left until the end of the strangest school year we have ever experienced?! It has been a year of ever-changing state and county guidance, schedules, and zoom meetings/classes. I stand so proud of our community- teachers, staff, parents, students. We came together in a true time of need. Here's to a great finish to 2020-2021! I'm looking forward to reviewing the year and to looking to what's ahead for SPN in 2021-22 at tonight's State of the School Address.

State of the School Address: Tonight, Tuesday, May 25th, at 7p.m. I will be hosting our annual State of the School Address via Zoom. Register here to join the presentation.

Feast of Saint Philip Neri: Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 26th, we are celebrating the Feast of Saint Philip Neri with a special prayer service. The prayer service video will be sent to all families in place of the SLC Wednesday video. We will gather together remotely in prayer.

Virtual Talent Show 2021: Look for the link to watch the virtual Talent Show on Thursday, June 3rd! This will not be a live event and the link will allow you to watch our SPN talent at a time convenient for your family.

SLC 2021-22: This year our Student Leadership Council really shined. They kept us grounded in prayer daily, grew our knowledge with helpful hints about money and the ecology, honored our birthdays, got us involved in school wide service projects and made us smile and laugh when promoting the spirit days. We thank them for their service, and we are excited to welcome a new SLC for the 2021-2022 school year. Let me present our 2021-22 Student Leadership Council:

If you have a teenager who’s even moodier than usual, you’re not alone. In a study this spring, nearly half of parents surveyed reported their teenage children’s mental health suffered during the pandemic. As restrictions are lifted, some will need support to find their footing again. Here are links to materials from the Child Mind Institute to support parents.

Community Happenings

June Volleyball Clinic: Vipers Volleyball is offering June clinics to all levels of volleyball players. The clinics will run through June starting on the 7th and focus on volleyball technique. There are two clinics per week and a maximum of 12 players per clinic. The coaching staff is made up of two head coaches (David Ho and Peter Ohno), an assistant coach (and Vipers Director) as well as college and high school varsity players. Here are the forms to apply.
