2020 Teacher and Employee of the Year Announced
at the Annual ABC Awards

Brevard Public Schools and the Brevard Schools Foundation came together January 29th to celebrate our educators, administrators, support personnel, volunteers and community supporters who have risen to the top with their contributions and dedication to our students. The ABC Awards (Applauding Brevard's Champions) publicly recognizes BPS' exceptional employees, volunteers and partners, who through their special efforts help students make the most of their education. Congratulations to our 2020 Teacher and Employee of the Year and the finalists and winners in all categories. Thank you for making a difference in our schools and community and in the lives of the students and families we serve. You are truly the Heart of Brevard.

Tropical Elementary Kindness Collection Supports Aging Matters of Brevard

Tropical Elementary is holding a Kindness Collection Contest where each grade level is collecting a specific item for our senior community. The classroom with the most items collected in each grade level will be the winner. All the items will be donated to Aging Matters for its Meals on Wheels recipients and other seniors-in-need.

If you would like to support a great organization and cause, below is a list of needed items:
 
·    Hand towels
·    Puzzle books
·    Peanut Butter
·    Ramen Noodles
·    Socks
·    Soap, shampoo, toothbrushes/toothpaste
·  Lotion and shaving cream

Tropical's student will also be writing "I care about you” cards to deliver with the donations and meals. Donations and cards can be dropped off at Tropical or Aging Matters directly at the addresses below:

Now that Legacy Club cards no longer have expiration dates they are not distributed on an annual basis.

If you are in need of a new card, or are transitioning from GOLD (ages 55-64) to PLATINUM (ages 65+) you may visit the front office of any BPS high school during school hours to obtain, or contact Sara.
