New Networking Tool: Sign Up for the Safety Disparities Listserv

SPS is now offering a new Safety Disparities Listserv to those involved with Safety Disparities work across network hospitals! This email-based listserv is a networking forum to ask questions and share learnings around the process, detection, and measurement of Safety Disparities.

We encourage all SPS member hospital employees who are involved in Safety Disparities work to engage with this meaningful networking tool. Unlike existing active listservs, any individual can sign up to join the Safety Disparities listserv to ask questions and share ideas. Please use this link to sign up now for the listserv that will launch in mid-April. Be sure to forward this information to others at your hospitals who are active in Safety Disparities work.

All Falls Network Increase

From March to Oct. 2023, the SPS centerline for All Falls in the network increased by approximately 9.7% from a centerline of 0.802 to 0.0880. SPS would like to bring your awareness to this increase in our rate of falls.

As we continue to monitor this increase, we ask you to remain aware and utilize reduction strategies such as the SPS Falls Prevention Bundle, a learning team, or a proactive safety huddle for high-risk patients. If you have beyond the bundle improvement strategies to address All Falls, please contact the SPS inbox as we’d love to hear from you.
