Mary and Prayer
May is one of the months that we as Catholics make a special effort to honor Mary, our Mother. Many parishes offer May Crowning liturgies and Rosaries and other devotions increase among the faithful.

This month for our Year of Prayer, we are focusing on Mary - going deeper on the Angelus and Regina Caeli prayers, looking at the practice of novena prayer, and discussing how we regularly include Mary in our prayer.

We hope you will join us in the many ways we honor Mary as a parish each week!

Director of Youth Ministry, Brittany Tull, share a bit of history on the Angelus and Regina Caeli and a personal reflection on these prayers below!

Pray the Angelus and
Regina Caeli!
This month, our parish challenge takes up the practice of praying the Regina Caeli and Angelus daily. The Angelus is a devotion to mark the Incarnation, and can be prayed daily at 6:00 a.m., noon, and 6:00 p.m. Our church bells ring daily at noon and 6:00 p.m. to call the faithful to prayer! During Easter, the Regina Caeli replaces the Angelus as our daily devotion.

As a reminder, the Regina Caeli (during Easter) and the Angelus (non-Easter time) is prayed Monday-Friday at noon on Facebook (@StPiusGranger), so come join us there if you'd like someone to accompany you!

a blessed weekend to
all women of SPX
Mother’s Day Prayer

Loving God,
as a mother gives life and
nourishment to her children,
so you watch over your Church.

Bless these women,
that they may be
strengthened as Christian mothers.

Let the example of their faith and
love shine forth.

Grant that we,
their sons and daughters,
may honor them always
with a spirit of profound respect.

Through Christ our Lord.
