Road Maintenance on State Route 18 near Lucerne Valley

SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY — The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) alerts the public that Fawnskin maintenance will be completing lateral support tasks on State Route 18 (SR-18) near Lucerne Valley.  Weather permitting.

 

This operation will be performed on Monday, May 4th to Friday, May 8th from 8:45 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. The following are planned work and one-way flagging operation locations:


Monday, May 4th to Tuesday, May 5th: Crews will be working from Camp Rock Road to Richard Street.

 

Wednesday, May 6th to Friday, May 8th: Crews will be working from Marble Canyon Road to Camp Rock Road.

 

Lateral support task entails the cleaning of the shoulders that meet the roadway, delineation repairs, and landscaping that is needed.

One-way flagging will be performed in both directions and may take up to 15-minutes of waiting time per side. Please reduce your speed when near work areas for the safety of crews and other drivers on the route. Signage will be placed ahead to indicate approaching roadway work.
