SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY — The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) alerts the public that Cajon maintenance crews will perform a rock cleanup operation on the State Route 2 (SR-2) on Angeles Crest Highway. Weather permitting.

Work will be performed on Thursday, October 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This operation will require a full closure of the state route from SR-39/SR-2 to Forest Service Road 4N56. This operation is required to remove large rock fall within the closure that could potentially create a hazard to the traveling public.

Please reduce your speed when near work areas for the safety of crews and other drivers on the route. Signage will be placed ahead to indicate approaching roadway work.
