RIVERSIDE COUNTY— The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will begin an emergency project (estimated $1.2 million) on State Route 91 (SR-91) in Riverside. Weather permitting.

State Route 91 is a critical link in the state transportation network, serving interstate travelers, commuters, and regional and interregional goods movement. Heavy traffic has caused severe undermining of the roadway and site assessments determined uneven slab settlements of 3-6 inches. Contractors will begin emergency slab replacements requiring the following overnight closures on the following dates and times:

Monday, October 19th to Tuesday, October 20th:

• From 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.: Full closure of the eastbound SR-91 on ramp at Central Avenue and #4 lane closure on eastbound SR-91 between Central Avenue and 14th Street.
• From 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.: #3 lane closure on eastbound SR-91 between Central Avenue and 14th Street.

Tuesday, October 20th to Wednesday, October 21st:

• From 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.: Full closure of the eastbound SR-91 on ramp at Central Avenue and #4 Lane closure on eastbound SR-91 between Central Avenue and 14th Street.
• From 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.: #3 lane closure on eastbound SR-91 between Central Avenue and 14th Street.
• From 12:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m.: #2 lane closure on eastbound SR-91 between Central Avenue and 14th Street.

Wednesday, October 21st to Thursday, October 22nd:

• From 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.: Full closure of the eastbound SR-91 on ramp at Central Avenue and #4 Lane closure on eastbound SR-91 between Central Avenue and 14th Street.
• From 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.: #3 lane closure on eastbound SR-91 between Central Avenue and 14th Street.
• From 12:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m.: #2 lane closure on eastbound SR-91 between Central Avenue and 14th Street.

Thursday, October 22nd to Friday, October 23rd:

• From 7:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.: Left shoulder closure on eastbound SR-91 between Central Avenue and 14th Street.
•  From 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.: Full closure of the eastbound SR-91 on ramp at Central Avenue and #1 Lane closure on eastbound SR-91 between Central Avenue and 14th Street.
• From 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.: #2 lane closure on eastbound SR-91 between Central Avenue and 14th Street.

Friday, October 23rd to Saturday, October 24th:

•  From 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.: Full closure of the eastbound SR-91 on ramp at Central Avenue and #1 Lane closure on eastbound SR-91 between Central Avenue and 14th Street.
• From 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.: #2 lane closure on eastbound SR-91 between Central Avenue and 14th Street.
