During this time of unprecedented uncertainty, all of us here at the
Synthetic Roof Underlayment Institute are concerned about the safety and well-being of our families, members, and the many friends who make up SRUI’s following across the roofing industry.
Our hearts are with those who have been affected personally by the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19) as well as the many communities around the world that are facing extreme measures in the attempt to slow its spread. We can also assure you that our member companies are doing everything in their power to follow the CDC guidelines as well as state and local executive orders in regard to safe practices.
Some of our member companies are also engaged in working to supply raw materials for the production of PPE as well as finished products of PPE to aid those in need. It is our goal to be able to be good stewards to those people and communities that are being affected during this challenging time.
Since this is a global pandemic, there may be interruptions in the supply chains of the majority of roofing products that the SRUI member companies offer. To help all of us get through this phase, we would recommend that we refrain from any panic buying and know that we will all come out stronger on the backside. SRUI will stand strong to continue to bring you updates as we receive them from our member companies and to help in assuring continued product supply to all those in the roofing industry.
In the next several weeks SRUI will be releasing technical information that we hope you will find as a benefit to your business. By utilizing the down time we feel that this would be a great time to share what we have been developing over the past year. By no means are we ignoring what is going on around us, we are just using this time to share information. Hopefully you will find this information as a valuable tool in your business going forward.
