Message from Mr. Krolikowski

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Please allow me to share a few updates and information with you.

SRVHS Office Manager
By now you may have heard that our Office Manager, Mrs. Candace Molano, is changing sites and taking her talents to California High School. This move best suits her family responsibilities and we are thankful for the time she has given SRVHS. Mrs. Molano served as the welcoming face to our school as well as assisted me with appointments, phone calls, and many other responsibilities.  Her replacement is our very own Mrs. Krystin Alcaraz. Mrs. Alacaraz has served the last 3 years as the SRVHS attendance technician. Mrs. Alcaraz assumed her new role on Monday, February 4, 2019. She can be reached at  kalacaraz@srvusd.net

SRVHS Parent Education Event
On Tuesday, February 12th, 2019, 7-8:30 p.m. please join us in the SRVHS Library for a thoughtful and interactive discussion on how to disrupt bigotry, bullying, and hate crimes in our community, and how to help ourselves and our children be strong allies. Please CLICK HERE to view the SRVHS "Imagine a World Without Hate" event flyer.

School Loop Mail
Lastly, our SRV Leadership Teacher, Janet Willford, sends out school-wide announcements using School Loop email. The "from" address displays as a "do-not-reply". For parents who are not receiving Janet Willford's emails, please read below...
  1. Check your spam / junk folder....if it's not there....
  2. Go to www.srvhs.schoolloop.com and make sure you have an account set up. You can also download the app for your smartphone. If you do have an account, but you're still not getting email, then...
  3. Email communications@srvusd.net to inquire about fixing your School Loop email.

We hope that helps you receive the information directly to your inbox. Thank you for your time!

Sincerely,

Jason Krolikowski

SRVUSD 2019-2010 LCAP Survey

SRVUSD's 2019-2020 LCAP Input Survey
The SRVUSD is seeking input from parents, staff and students to inform the District's 2019-2020 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) process. The LCAP is a three-year, district-level plan that is updated annually. The plan describes the school district's goals for all students, as well as the specific actions (along with expenditures) the district will take to achieve the goals and the metrics that will be used to measure the progress. To learn more about the LCAP  click here . To view the 2018-2019 LCAP  click here .

In addition to staff and parents, all students in grades 5 through 12 will be asked to complete the 20-minute survey during school.

Please take some time to complete this very important online survey. The survey will close at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2019.
Thank you for taking the time to provide your input. We appreciate all that you do to support our schools.

Leadership Update

Do It For Lily:  Remembering Lily Meyer
On Monday, February 11th, we launch a campaign to live a life as Lily Elena Aracic Meyer lived hers.  She loved, she laughed, and she was silly.  She spread joy to everyone she met-she was pure goodness!

Her parents know that she was going to do a tremendous amount of good in this world.  Touched by the love and support our community showed them during this devastating time, they asked us to continue to help others in need and take care of one another. They asked us to go do something good and do it for Lily!
"I implore you all, in the name of my beautiful daughter, to do some extra good in the world, to make up for her loss...And if anyone asks you why you're helping, say 'It's for Lily'"
As a school, and with our community beyond, we are asking you to share stories of good deeds and kindness, be aware of those around you in need of your love and laughter, and spread joy as much as you can, just as Lily did.

Baccalaureate Refreshment Committee

Dear 2022 Parents,

SRVHS has a long-standing tradition of the Freshman class supporting our Senior class by providing cookies, waters, and a few parent volunteers for the Baccalaureate service. This year, the event will take place on Sunday, May 19th, 2019, from 4:00pm-5:00pm at the Community Presbyterian Church in Danville.

We are seeking a Freshmen parent volunteer to:
  1. create and manage a Sign Up Genius
  2. recruit 4-5 parent volunteers to work the day of the event from 2:00pm-6:00pm:
    • set up and decorate the refreshment tables (2:00pm-3:30pm)
    • clean up after the event (5:00pm-6:00pm)
  3. ask parents to donate 100 dozen cookies / brownies / baked goods
  4. ask parents to donate 50 cases of bottled water
Parent volunteers would arrive at Community Presbyterian Church around 2:00pm on the day of the event to help with collecting baked goods & water bottle donations, and set up the refreshments tables. Donations need to be dropped off between 2:30pm-4:00pm. Parent volunteers would also need to stay for clean-up from 5:00pm-6:00pm.

Please email us if you are interested!
