Three businesses across the Southland were recognized by The Illinois Office of Tourism this month and inducted into
The Illinois Made program which started in 2016.
According to the
Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau, The Illinois Made program recognizes each business for being makers, creators, and artisans who have helped craft Illinois while attracting locals and visitors to discover these hidden gems.
“Being recognized for excellence by the Illinois Office of Tourism is a tremendous honor, we’re so proud of our newest inductees,” said Jim Garrett, President/CEO of the Chicago Southland Convention & Visitors Bureau.
To be considered for the Illinois Made program, according to The Illinois Office of Tourism, "businesses must embody the personal spirit of Illinois, demonstrating through their work what makes our state so unique. Makers exemplify what it means to be a local artisan. They represent the pinnacle of small businesses in Illinois—offering a one-of-a-kind experience that can only be found in the cities, towns, and rural communities of the Land of Lincoln."
Congratulations to these south suburban small businesses for being recognized for their contributions to the Southland.
