Below, you’ll find a list of currently available grants and a few details about funding levels, the deadline for applications, and how they can help transform your municipalities:
EV Readiness Program
• Purpose: Prepare for the growing demand for electric vehicles (EVs) and EV charging infrastructure
• Funding: Credit of up to $7,500 for eligible vehicles under 14,000 pounds and $40,000 for vehicles over that weight
• Deadline: September 30, 2024
Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program (ITEP)
• Purpose: Fund projects aimed at improving transportation infrastructure by incorporating pedestrian, bicycle, and green space enhancements.
• Funding: Up to $2 million per project, with 80% federal funding for eligible activities.
• Deadline: September 30, 2024
Reconnecting Communities and Neighborhoods Program (RCP)
• Purpose: Remove infrastructure barriers that divide neighborhoods, improving connectivity, accessibility, and community cohesion.
• Funding: Total $200 million in FY24 (Planning grant max award amount is $2 million and the Capital Construction Grant max award amount is $5 million).

Flood-Prone Property Acquisition Program (FPPA)
• Purpose: Acquire and demolish flood-prone properties, restoring the land to its natural state to reduce future flood risks.

Stormwater Partnership Program (SPP)
