European School of Music and Chess, (The Conservatoire) founded by Angela Oyzboyd, a concert pianist from Eastern Europe, celebrated its 31st birthday on August 28th. We also launched a book with 730 "Waterfalls of Georgia” written by our alumnus. We are one of a kind educational non-profit 501c(3) Corganization that teaches students (private lessons - ages 5 to adult) how to play instruments and sing beautifully so their music flows like waterfalls. We serve the community with free public concerts that include both beginners, and advanced students who even win international music competitions as well as our excellent teachers who are also master piano, violin and vocal performers. 

We have a diverse and international united music family of students and teachers from all races and social backgrounds. We urgently need Sandy Spring business contributions to help one of our best students, a teenager raised by his African American single mother who recently lost her job. Noah is supposed to give a graduation recital this spring, and without your donation it won’t happen as our scholarship fund has been used up by other needy students and Noah’s mother cannot afford lessons anymore. Dennis Marrow, Immediate Past Chair of the Board of Directors for SSPC, was recently promoted to Associate Vice President of Strategic Communications at Kennesaw State University. Dennis previously served the university as Assistant Dean in KSU’s largest college, the Coles College of Business, and prior to that role ran the second largest part-time MBA Program in Georgia for KSU’s Coles College of Business. The Coles College of Business has been a long-time member of the Sandy Springs Perimeter Chamber and continues to host classes for the KSU Evening MBA Program at City Springs, Monday through Thursday evenings from 6:00-8:45 pm.
