A note from SSSG artistic director, Paule Barsalou:

Friendship Across Borders
Congratulations to the SSSG senior ensembles for an amazing concert last weekend! It was a joy to see you perform with your new friends from the Cayuga Chamber Orchestra - Youth Orchestra from Ithaca, NY. You had such high energy, focus, sensitivity and responsiveness to your fabulous conductor, Kirsten Marshall. Bravo! Bravo also to all the teachers: Andrea Cook, Jeremy Cook, Anna Hughes and Joy Schuster for preparing our young musicians for such high caliber, beautiful performances and to Carmen Evans for helping with stage crewing. Thank you to Anna Hughes for coordinating such a well-organized and fun event. Thank you to Dorothy Vreeswik-Kidd for her help in procuring percussion instruments and music stands from John F. Ross music department. Thank you to the many volunteer parents who helped with the transportation of instruments, coordination of the meals, stage crewing, ticket sales and so many other tasks. Thank you to local percussionist David Knight, for providing instruments for the concert. Thank you to all who took the time on a beautiful sunny day to come to attend the concert.  It takes a whole community to put together such an event for our young musicians. We appreciate your support!
