Kiwanis 2017 kiw
Kiwanis Festival Registration:
We encourage all our students - except beginners- to participate in the Kiwanis Music Festival of Guelph. The wide majority of our students enter the non-competitive category and enjoy this opportunity to perform, celebrate their musical efforts and get feedback from a different teacher.
This year, the string section of the festival will run from;
 March 25 to April 2.
This year, we are very lucky to have two superb adjudicators who are two Suzuki teachers. The Strings - Senior adjudicator is cellist Margaret Tobolowska from Ottawa. The Strings - Junior is violinist Margot Jewell from Etobicoke.

Online Registration is up and running on the Festival website.  Secure payment can be made through Paypal by credit card or VISA Debit and the option remains to print the final page and submit payment by cheque to the Festival following registration online if people prefer not to submit payment over the internet.  The paper application form can still be downloaded and printed and submitted the old fashioned way for a $3 paper handling fee, but I strongly encourage everyone to apply online if at all possible.
Here is the link to the website for you to share with your students:
Remember to refresh your browser or clear your cache if you have visited the site before. You should see Registration as the sixth listing in the menu bar.

The Registration Deadline  is at  midnight  on  January 29th!

A huge thank you to Heather Fleming and the Kiwanis Club of Guelph for organizing this event which is such an amazing learning and performing opportunity for our students. Heather is the secretary of the festival and works tirelessly to make it happen very year, from fundraising, to scheduling, to volunteer coordination, and on and on.
Heather, you are truly a hero in our community!

As per our policies: Students participating in solo string classes at the Kiwanis Music Festival of Guelph will not receive a private lesson during the week of the festival. Instead, their teacher will attend their rehearsal with the accompanist and their performance at the festival.
