Hello all,

Please know that all SSSG 2019/20 registrations are now past due.

Late registrations make the scheduling process of both private & group classes for the whole school very difficult & delayed.  We appreciate your efforts with this.

For questions pertaining to the registration form
Please contact Janet: janetdance@gmail.com for scheduling, volunteering etc.

Tanglewood Orchestra performing at Guelph Lake Commons Retirement Homeretire
On Tuesday, June 18 , Tanglewood Orchestra will be performing for the seniors at the  Guelph Lake Commons Retirement Home, 520 Victoria Rd, Guelph, ON.  We will arrive there at 5:30pm for a rehearsal/warmup, and then perform from 6:30-approx. 7:30. Repertoire will be our three pieces from Kiwanis, plus there will be opportunities for the students to play solos/duos if they would like.
All Tanglewood students: Please reply to Elayne at:  elayner@cogeco.ca as soon as possible to indicate whether or not you're able to attend this performance. Hopefully we can get enough people from the Orchestra out to play for the seniors, they always enjoy seeing and hearing our students!

Cello Studio of Sandy Kiefer saNDY
The cello studio of Sandy Kiefer had an exciting contest to enter this month... It was called "The Most Unusual Contest".  All they had to do was go to an unusual place and play a whole piece at that location.  The first prize winner was Liam Ruddock who played on the roof of his garage.   Roman played in the elevator at Pearson Airport when he went to pick up his grandmother. There were lots of entries including playing in pet stores, hospital lobbies, town parks, spas, hair dressers and barber shops, custodian closets, at jungle gyms, laundromats, pre-schools,  in the snow,  and on top of tables. The most unusual distant location was won by Charlotte Ting who played in Shanghai, China. Theo An played in 47 different locations.
Congratulations to all the students for finding many unusual places to play  Suzuki repertoire!

Polish it up and have fun performing it for others on May 25th. Thank your audience, pass the hat and all proceeds go to Trillium to support school activities!

This year, the Busking Festival will be located alongside the Guelph Potter's Market. They were so thrilled by the association to our event, they donated our performance space!

Sign up sheets are posted in the main hallway at the SSSG school.

Come out, perform, play and support your friends and co-performers.
** adult performances (6:30-9:00 St Georges Square) can be 15-30 min in length.
It stands for children's independence, creativity, fun, and connection.

The Trillium Waldorf School Busking Festival is a celebration of children's performing arts.
The Children's Busking Festival is open to any performer from anywhere under 18 years of age to prepare a piece that is a few minutes long, up to a maximum of 15 minutes. If the piece is shorter, it can be repeated to fill a 15 minute space.  Performances are to be safe for performers and audience and family friendly and are not restricted to any type of art form.
It is true busking where each performer introduces themselves or their group, and plays to an audience of passers-by, who stay to watch or drop money in a hat during or at the end of the performance.
As one performer ends, the next one sets up and starts their piece in seamless fashion to fill the day.
All proceeds go the Trillium Waldorf School.
Performers are responsible for all their props and equipment unless otherwise specified.
Sign ups are completed by May 17th.  Please contact Souhaila by this date if interested.

The Adult Busking Festival starts at 6:30pm and run until 9pm in the same conditions as the Children's Festival.
All proceeds would go the Trillium Waldorf School.

All the best,
