SAO Conference: Updatecon

The  November 4th  conference is fast approaching! We have approximately 200 students from not only Guelph, but also from Waterloo and across Ontario and beyond.

Reminder that the conference will be held at
Knox Presbyterian Church, 50 Erb Street West, Waterloo, Ontario.

Elayne Ras will be offering the Teen Mentoring course again this fall, on Sun Oct 1512:30-5pm at the GYMC. If your child is at least 13 years old and in Bk 4 and up, and would like to take the course so they can be added to our "Practice Buddy" list, please contact Elayne at 
This course is open for students from any instrument.

Saturday, October 21, 2017 SEASON OPENING GALA - PORTRAIT OF AN ARTIST For the first time, a curated spontaneous art+symphonic program featuring International Guest Principal Dancer Zdenek Konvalina.  Mr. Konvalina, one of the most celebrated dancers of his generation, equally excelled as an abstract expressionist painter.  You will experience live, the creation of a painting by Mr. Konvalina, as the orchestra performs music that had a significant impact on his dance career.  GSO Concerto Finalist violinist Leslie Ashworth performs the music of one of Mr. Konvalina's signature ballets, the Prokofiev Violin Concerto No. 2.
*Join the city's cultural leaders for an exclusive, pre-concert dinner in Cooperator's Hall, and a private performance by our guest soloists, joined at the piano by Artistic Director, Judith Yan (separate ticket required)
