The SSSG's new Double Bass Program  bass
The Suzuki String School of Guelph  is excited to be offering double bass private lessons and group classes for the first time. Lessons will be available for students of any age and experience level, and appropriately sized instruments will be available for sale or rent.

Double bass lessons can be an excellent way to help retain older students who are craving a new challenge. They can also be a great way to get a sibling of any age involved in Suzuki while playing a unique instrument. Bassists are highly in-demand, and pursuing the double bass will lead to many exciting performance opportunities with orchestras, chamber groups, jazz ensembles, and more!

Any students interested in adding this instrument to their schedule this fall should contact Paule Barsalou:  paule@artset.net. All bass private and group classes will be offered on Mondays after school and evening.

Meet our new Suzuki bass teacher: Jesse Dietschi

He holds an Artist Diploma from the Glenn Gould School (RCM, Toronto) in Orchestral Performance, along with Masters degrees in both Jazz Performance (U of Toronto) and Composition (Brandon University). Jesse is a faculty member at the Southwestern Ontario Suzuki Institute, St. Andrew's College, and the Oakville Suzuki Association.
