Honoring Excellence: SSW Celebrates Class of 2025 at Honors Convocation

Earlier this month, SSW proudly celebrated the accomplishments of its BSW and MSW students during the Class of 2025 Honors Convocation, held in the MART Auditorium. The ceremony recognized students graduating with summa cum laude, magna cum laude, and cum laude honors; members of the Phi Alpha Honor Society; BSW students who completed the Passport to the Profession program; SSW Ambassadors; and recipients of the Practicum Education Awards. Faculty, staff, and family members joined in the celebration, applauding the hard work, dedication, and impact of our upcoming graduates as they prepare to take the next steps in their social work journeys. "This is such a joyous time of the year, and the Honors Convocation provides us an opportunity to recognize and celebrate all of the accomplishments. It was particularly beautiful to be able to include family and friends that night; I think my favorite moment was when a small child in the audience spontaneously yelled out "that's my Mommy!" as a student crossed the stage", said Richard Helling, SSW Staff Assistant.

Congratulations to all honorees—we are so proud of you!
