We'll share what has been spiritually inspiring to you lately -- perhaps a book, an article, Bible verse, song, or even just a cool story about something that you encountered in your week. Taize Prayer Service

Taizé Worship is a contemplative service of song, silence, prayer, and scripture reading. The service offers a time to center ourselves in the presence of God, to let go of the busy schedules of our lives, and be held in God’s tender love and compassion. There is an unofficial cohort of Crossfire members who typically (key word: typically) go to Sunday 5 p.m. mass at St. Thomas. We've been talking for a while about creating a designated spot to sit together so no one feels alone at Mass. We've been at the left side toward the middle-front. Join us!

Archbishop's Annual Appeal: Beer Tasting & Reception

Aqua Turf Club

The Archdiocese invites all young adults to a beer tasting and cocktail reception with Archbishop Blair to support the 2019 Archbishop's Annual Appeal on Friday, February 15, from 5-8pm at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville. The beer tasting will feature beer from local breweries. This event is free! If you plan to attend, please RSVP via this link.
Brunch Volunteers Needed!

Earlier this year, Father Moran started a parish-wide initiative in which each STA ministry hosts a brunch on the third Sunday of the month after the 10:30 a.m. Sunday mass. Crossfire will host in February! We need volunteers to help set-up and clean-up after the brunch, as well as socialize and be a presence during the brunch to increase awareness about Crossfire. Sign-up here to help with specific shift and/or bring food.

Crossfire-led Adoration

Crossfire sponsors a day of Eucharistic adoration on the first Saturday of every month. You can sign up for a slot on this google form. If you don't want to commit to a slot, you are still welcome to come any time. Father Moran celebrates a Divine Mercy Holy Hour that begins at 3 p.m.

Lenten Young Adult Retreat

Sandwich Making

Evensong, sung Evening Prayer in the English Christian tradition, is roughly the equivalent of Vespers in Roman Catholicism. Evensong was first constructed in the 16th century by combining the Roman Catholic liturgies of Vespers and Compline. This non-Eucharistic liturgy brings together people of all faiths in celebration. Crossfire Softball League

Matt Reuter is coordinating a Crossfire softball team! We need 15-20 participants. A co-ed team (preferred) requires 6-8 women on the roster to ensure the minimum number are in the field. Please recruit friends, family and colleagues who are interested to join us. No affiliation with Crossfire or the Catholic Church is required. No prior softball experience required. Internship Opportunity

The Archdiocese of Hartford's Office of Catholic Social Justice Ministry (OCSJM) is hosting a paid internship for the 2019-2020 academic year, sponsored by the Catholic Campaign for Human Development. CCHD internships are open to Catholics in the U.S. who have leadership abilities, community service experience, and effective writing and communication skills.
