Be Unique - Be a Leader - Be Aquinas
Knightly News - September 17, 2017
Principal's Post

The St. Thomas Aquinas Hall of Fame Banquet will take place on Saturday, September 30th in the STA gym. We have several great inductees. If you would like to attend, please contact Christie Barnett in the STA office for tickets. The phone number for the office is (330) 875-1631

The weather was great and there was a large crowd. The STA staff was immersed in hosting several events which included an open house, a feeder school tailgater and a feeder school halftime event. We also had several 8th grade students shadowing during the school day. These students were able to take part in an energetic pep rally that was organized by the Dungeon leaders and cheerleaders. The only thing we lacked was an Aquinas victory. Alas, it was not to be had. Our team prepared and played hard, but the Crusaders from Central Catholic were just too much this year.

Below is the link for a cute video on forgiveness that illuminates today’s gospel in which Jesus tells St. Peter that he must forgive his brother 77 times (which essentially means always). Hopefully, we can all forgive any past transgressions, real or perceived, from our brothers and sisters at Central Catholic and move forward “Together Stronger.”

Please continue to pray for God’s will to be done at St. Thomas Aquinas High School and Middle School.

Have a great Aquinas week!

St. Thomas Aquinas, pray for us.

Campus Ministry
Campus Ministry would like to reach out to our alumni and offer a card of support or prayer. Parents can email me their child's address who might have just moved away to college, or started a new job, got married, had a baby, or even someone who needs prayers due to health issues or might be grieving. We want to remind our alumni that they matter and we think of them and continue to pray for them.

Parents can email Mrs. Michelle May at

News From the Band Room
Greetings parents and alumni!

Our band is growing!  There is a need for instruments and funding. If you or someone you know have an instrument that is collecting dust but is still in working order, we would love to take it off your hands and put into the hands of an eager beginner student.

Many thanks to Mrs. Tina Perna for her generous donation of a saxophone! We are in need of trumpets and clarinets, specifically. Please note, if clarinets have water damage or are moldy we won’t be able to use them as it is too costly to repair them. Monetary donations are greatly appreciated and will go towards the purchase of percussion equipment and method books.

The band will also be holding a fruit sale. The dates are to be determined but be on the lookout as fruit makes a great Christmas gift!

If you are able to help in any way, please contact me.

Thank you and Go Knights!

Ways to Support STA
St Thomas Aquinas High School is partnering with Schoola ( ).

What’s Schoola? It’s a great way to raise funds for our school. Schoola collects pre-loved women's and children’s clothes, preps and sells them online, and gives 40% of the proceeds (minus the cost of inbound shipping) back to St Thomas Aquinas High School to help fund programs for our kids. That’s $2 out of every $5 earned back to our school! Simply click on the image to view our very own Schoola landing page where you can request a bag and view our progress and funds earned

The AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the price of eligible purchases to St. Thomas Aquinas High School & Middle School to help fund programs for our students. Every little bit counts, donations quickly add up.

It's easy! Type and log into your account. Select St. Thomas Aquinas High School (yes the Middle School benefits too!), Louisville, OH. That's it. Now whenever you make a purchase STA benefits.

Thank you for your support!

Don't forget to forward this to your family and friends! And encourage them to  sign up  to receive their own copy of this email blast.
