Stage Secrets:
How have you enjoyed being in Cape May so far?
Dana Iannuzzi:
I have enjoyed being here very much, it is such a quaint place and I enjoy this momentary break from the hustle and bustle of New York. It’s also incredible to be by the beach at this time of year.
SS:
Anything fun that you have discovered?
DI:
I haven’t really had much time to explore outside of being in rehearsals and tech for the show, but the brief riding around I’ve done on my bike I hope to revisit some of the places I’ve driven past.
SS:
Your character is a prolific tweeter, do you enjoy social media or stay away from it?
DI:
Social media is a necessity at this point in time and I use different parts of it for different things. Facebook is 100% for keeping up with people I’ve lost touch with, Twitter is how I get news and politics at the point - especially when I’m away from the city and have no access to the news, and Instagram is a guilty pleasure to “stay relevant” I guess. I fought so hard against getting an Instagram handle and most of my posts are about career and my dog.
SS:
How do you think Bianca and yourself are most alike or different?
DI:
I don’t think Bianca and I are alike at all, sadly, but of course there are aspects of who she is that resonate with me. She is incredibly passionate about her cause and will go to any length to get what she believes is right accomplished and I admire that kind of passion. I am passionate about a few things, but not to a fanatical point. I firmly believe that it is possible to be someone who conservative personal views, but liberal wholistic views. There are things for me as a person I believe and that I would and would not do, but I by no means believe that I have the right to impose those on anyone else, nor do I expect anyone to believe the exact things that I do. I come from a very close family of 6 and we are very similar in our politics, but we do not believe the same things about EVERY issue - how could we? We are six different people and that’s what I think Bianca doesn’t see in her passionate view of her cause - the other side. It doesn’t exist to her because it can’t, her way or no way.

Stage Secrets:
Welcome back to Cape May! What did you miss most about the town?
Holly Anne Williams:
Thank you! I missed the ambiance. I grew up by the beach in Florida so riding bikes around the neighborhood, smelling the ocean, and hearing the seagulls is rejuvenating. Everyday I get to see the beach is gift. I feel like a kid again.
SS:
How do you think Patricia and yourself are most alike or different?
HW:
I don’t have a lot in common with Patricia but that’s one of the things I love about being an actor — experiencing a new point of view. I may disagree with her, but stepping into her belief system allows me understand where she’s coming from. And, like the playwright suggests, no matter where one falls on the political spectrum, I think we all desire for this country to get better. So, I lead with that as Patricia’s driving force and find a lot of commonality there.
SS:
If you could hold any political office in our government, which would you choose?
HW:
None, thank you! Yikes!

Stage Secrets:
How have you enjoyed being in Cape May so far? Anything fun that you have discovered?
Elise Hudson:
Cape May has been lovely! Though its mostly just been rehearsal and performances so far, I did get to play tourist with my family when they came to town. We kayaked in the bay, had a wonderful meal at Blue Pig Tavern, and took two of the trolley tours (shoutout to John!). I've also become a fast fan of Out There Coffee. I think one of the most rewarding discoveries so far has been just how lovely it is to bike around the city. It's been a long while since I used a bike regularly, and it is so freeing! Those guys at Village Bicycle Shop are top notch.
SS:
Have you ever participated in a beauty pageant? if yes, how was it... if no, have you ever wanted to try?
EH:
No, I’ve never been in a beauty pageant, nor have I ever been interested, but I certainly watched a few in preparation for this role! I think the closest thing I've done to a beauty pageant was competing in this massive national modeling & acting competition called AMTC during high school.
SS:
How do you think Katherine and yourself are most alike or different?
EH:
Katherine is a passionate woman, and I can only hope that I can bring as much passion to my life as she brings to hers. We both enjoy a solid plan, a fun scheme, and a well organized list. She is incredibly persistent and ambitious, as am I, and I feel very inspired by her ability to not let anyone bring her down. She stands up for herself, always, and that is something I'm consistently working on. It seems easy to label Katherine quickly, and to think you know exactly what type of person she is, but she soon reveals that she may just be the opposite. This switcheroo has been especially fun to play, since I have lots of experience with people making snap judgments about me and then telling me, wide-eyed, that I'm totally different than their assumptions. I also love that Katherine sees the 'good' in everyone. I relate to her in that regard quite a bit, sometimes to a fault! She truly believes that compromise can yield beautiful results, and I admire this conviction, especially in the current political atmosphere. She may seem silly at first, but I think we all could use a healthy dose of Katherine's passion and belief in what the world could be.

Set in 2012, just before and also during Hurricane Sandy, The Reds focuses on the lifeguards who put their lives on the line every day to keep beach-goers safe. The play balances the fun and quirky aspects of the lifeguard sub-culture with the sobering realizations of how powerful mother nature can be.

Artemisia’s Intent delivers a captivating physical performance to unearth the life, work and words of 17th century painter Artemisia Gentileschi. This new play focuses on painting a portrait of the larger than life politician: Chris Christie. From the infamous Bridge-gate to his meme-worthy picture on a closed beach, Christie has been mired with scandal after scandal. Through factual communications with his closest advisers and rare glimpses of his high school days, this play takes an unflinchingly look at how a politician on the rise could fall so quickly and easily with one petty decision.
