Apply to Serve on CWO Toolkit Development National Advisory Group

The ACU's STAR² Center and NACHC are proud to partner on development of a toolkit for health centers interested in learning about a Chief Workforce Officer (CWO) role and how to add the position to their leadership teams. Given the workforce challenges that health centers are facing, a CWO would bring high-level focus and coordination to workforce efforts and ensure a data-informed approach to staffing concerns.

We are seeking individuals to serve on a national advisory group to provide field input on the development of the CWO toolkit and its components.  Click here to learn more about the proposed Toolkit and access the application materials to share your experience as part of this National Advisory Group. Applications are due on Friday, January 17, 2020 - apply today!

Uniform Data System 2019 Reporting Season

The Uniform Data System (UDS) 2019 reporting period began last week. All HRSA-funded health centers and look-alikes are required to submit complete and accurate UDS reports by Saturday, February 15.

The 2019 UDS Manual and other UDS reporting resources can help you complete an accurate report. The Manual includes detailed instructions for completing each of the tables and appendices, and information on how to submit UDS data through EHBs.

The Health Center Resource Clearinghouse is designed as a one-stop online repository of training and technical assistance resources developed for health centers by the 20 NCAs. Topics include finance, operations, workforce, quality improvement, capital development, HIT/data, governance and emerging issues. Click here to take a look!
Nearly half of U.S. worksites have a workplace health promotion plan. This CDC guide explores ways employers can help workers incorporate short physical activity breaks into the workday. The ideas are scalable, and most require little to no equipment.

The STAR² Center team invites workforce staff from PCA and HCCN teams to participate in the upcoming workforce professional development series where faculty and guest speakers will bring their expertise for building a staff retention plan and to share insight from the national, regional, and state levels with the learning cohort. Please visit the STAR² Center site to view the complete list of dates and topics for this series and register before our first session on January 30, 2020. One registration secures your spot for the whole series - click here to learn more and save your spot for this series!
