STAR Fund allocates $102,000 to Five Projects
Williston Economic Development - The Williston City Commission has awarded up to $102,000 in STAR Fund incentives to five projects at its meeting on Tuesday, June 23. The projects included Chatter Pediatric Walk-in Clinic, Eco Park Landfill, the Opportunity Foundation, ProSafe Pest Control and the Williston Convention and Visitors Bureau. Read More

Chamber's Coffee and Conversation features SBDC's Olson
Williston Herald - After taking several months off due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce's Coffee and Conversation returned this month, featuring Small Business Development Center Director Keith Olson. A larger crowd than anticipated met on Tuesday, June 23 at Meg-A-Latte's Loft in Williston, enjoying scones and coffee before the program began. The morning's topic was Recovery After COVID, with Olson as speaker. Read More
SBDC's Olson receives Certified Value Growth Advisor Designation
News Rele ase - ND SBDC Center Directors Keith Olson (Williston) and Paul Smith (Fargo) have achieved the designation of Certified Value Growth Advisor (CVGA) after successfully meeting the rigorous requirements of Corporate Value Metrics . The certification process included a 5-day program with 40 hours of classroom instruction by subject matter experts, successful completion of a case study assignment, and a 3-hour examination.  Read More
Berg named New WSCF Executive Director
News Release - The Board of Directors of the Williston State College Foundation is proud to announce the appointment of Hunter Berg as its new Executive Director. Berg will assume duties on July 1. Terry Olson will remain at the Foundation as the Past Executive Director through June 2021. Read More

Home Sales remain Steady in Williston
KXMD-TV - According to David VanAssche, a realtor in Williston, this isn’t a terrible time to purchase or sell a home. He says for a homeowner looking to sell, the market value of most homes have, for the most part, stayed stable lately, and if you’re in the market to buy, interest rates are near historic lows. “Prices have leveled off. I wouldn’t say there’s a strong upwards trajectory, but there certainly isn’t a downward one either. We’re not really seeing prices just crashing or falling off or doing anything like that,” VanAssche said. Read More
WREC to offer Virtual Field Days beginning July 8
News Release - This year’s North Dakota State University Williston Research Extension Center dryland and irrigated field days will be held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Producers and others will be able view the center researchers’ work by watching short prerecorded videos shot on location. GNDC - EDND, Commerce and the Governor's Office are now accepting nominations for the Economic Development Governor's Choice Awards.
Awards will be given in the categories of:
•            Economic Developer of the Year
•            Project of the Year
•            Community Development Award
