STAR Fund allocates $272,000 to Four Projects
Williston Economic Development - The Williston City Commission has awarded up to $272,000 in STAR Fund incentives to four projects at its meeting on Tuesday, March 10. The projects included the 2020 Babe Ruth World Series, utility box wraps, a business startup and business expansion. Read More

Williston Economic Development hires Spring Intern
Willi ston Economic Development - A Colombia native is joining Williston Economic Development this spring. Twenty-four-year-old Luisa Hoyos started an internship on Friday, March 6. The Williston State College (WSC) student, who is studying business management, is looking forward to the opportunity. “One day I would like to own my own company so I would like to learn more about city planning,” Hoyos says. Crosby Native to return to Hometown as Extension Agent
AgWeek - Travis Binde is a senior majoring in animal science and general agriculture at North Dakota State University. Binde, 23, graduated from Divide County High School in North Dakota in 2015. He accepted the NDSU Extension Agent position in January and will start June 1. Read More
Watford City ramps up US Census Efforts
McKenzie County Farmer - Beginning Thursday, March 12, people living in McKenzie County can start to be counted in the 2020 Census. Watford City awards Over $43,000 in Community Enrichment Grants
McKenzie County Farmer - The Watford City Roughrider Fund committee has awarded over $43,000 in Community Enrichment grants to support programs and activities in McKenzie County. Area Mountain Bikers to meet March 19 to discuss Trails, Races, Weekly Rides
News Release - A group of Williams County mountain bikers is trying to add more trails, races and weekly rides. A social will be held on Thursday, March 19 from 5:30-7 p.m. at JDubs in Williston to discuss the topics. "I believe that good trails help make healthy communities. I believe it is vital for people to spend time outside being active. I see potential for trails in Williams County and the surrounding area. All different types of trails. Amazing trails," says Jeremy Ludlum, Williams County Director of Parks. The meeting is an extension of the Trails Committee, formed a couple of years ago, to design, build and maintain trails. The public is invited to the meeting and free luncheon from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Grand Williston Hotel.

05/17-23 ------ National Public Works Week
Williston Public Works will host a community outreach day on May 20 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the new Public Works Facility. Equipment will be on display and staff will be on hand to discuss the services public works provides.
