December STAR Fund Allocations total $297,000
Williston Economic Development - The Williston City Commission has allocated up to $297,000 in Williston STAR Fund incentives in December. The projects include one Flex PACE Interest Buydown grant and one Community Build grant. The Flex PACE grant will help Realty One Group Caliber purchase the building they currently lease at 1418 2nd Avenue West. The buydown is for $47,000. Meanwhile, the Links of North Dakota will receive up to $250,000 over four years from the Community Build program. Read More

Andrist Charitable Trust awards $365,000
News Release - The Trustees of the John & Elaine Andrist Charitable Trust have awarded fourteen grants totaling $365,310 to organizations seeking to improve the quality of life in North Dakota. “With the grants made this round, we are especially excited to make significant investments in journalism as well as the arts and humanities,” remarked Levi Andrist, Trustee. Holiday Travel boosts Airline Passenger Boardings
News Release - North Dakota’s eight commercial service airports posted 83,429 airline passenger boardings during the recent month of November. This amounts to a 95% increase from November 2020 and a 12.5% decrease from the November 2019 pre-pandemic airline boarding counts. Additional travel demand seen during the Thanksgiving weekend was reminiscent of pre-pandemic levels in North Dakota and throughout the rest of the country. Read More

1 Million Cups Williston seeks Presenters for 2022
Williston Economic Development - 1 Million Cups Williston is seeking presenters for 2022. The group meets the first Wednesday of every month from 8:30-9:30 a.m. The meetings feature two presenters (entrepreneurs or small business owners) and complimentary coffee provided by the host business. Anyone interested in presenting or hosting a meeting is encouraged to contact [email protected].

Peachy's Boutique to appear on Mini Match Monday
Campaign December 20
Williston Economic Development - The owner of Peachy's Boutique in Williston will be featured on the WED's Mini Match Monday Campaign on December 20. Jessica Axmaker opened the women's plus-sized clothing business earlier this year. The boutique carries an array of sizes and accessories including jewelry, handbags, hats and scarves. Check out WED's social media posts on Monday to learn how Jessica utilized the STAR Fund Mini Match program to launch her small business!

Williston Herald - The North Dakota Association of REALTORS® (NDAR), at its annual REALTOR® Convention of the Dakotas in Pierre, SD, recognized Jill Lee, Realty ONE Group Caliber, Williston, ND, as REALTOR® of the Year (ROTY). Each year at its combined convention with South Dakota, the North Dakota Association of REALTORS® selects a REALTOR® from among seven REALTORS® who have been nominated by their local association or board of REALTORS® for this prestigious award.
