Williston City Commission allocates up to $650,000 for Startups, Expansions
Williston Economic Developme nt - The Williston City Commission has awarded up to $651,850 in STAR Fund incentives to 13 projects at its meeting on Tuesday, February 25. The projects included a new daycare center, the re-opening of a full-service coffee shop and a second location for a pet groomer. Williston Economic Development Executive Director Shawn Wenko says 2020 is off to a very solid start. Read More

District 8 Voters defeat Bond, approve 2 New Board Members
Williston Herald - Tuesday’s election in Williams County Public School District No. 8 shattered turnout records and won spots for two new members on the school board. Unofficial totals had voters choosing Chris Jundt, who got 434 votes, and Sarah Williams, who got 399. Read More
New Apprenticeship Program offered at WSC
KUMV-TV - Williston State College introduced a new apprenticeship program Wednesday morning. It will focus on Industrial Maintenance Technology and help meet workforce needs in the Bakken. Read More
Western North Dakota Leaders ask Legacy Fund to aid School Districts
Fargo Forum - North Dakotans living in the heart of the Bakken Oil Patch asked lawmakers to consider funding school construction, transportation infrastructure and more with the state's oil tax piggybank. The state Legislature's interim Legacy Fund Earnings Committee heard from more than 25 speakers Feb. 19 and Feb. 20, in Watford City. Read More
Tiny Buildings benefit Tioga Startups
KUMV-TV -  The City of Tioga is using tiny buildings to transition small business owners from working in homes to having permanent Main Street locations. The temporary micro-businesses give start-ups more exposure while keeping rent low. Read More
Oneok plans Expansion
Bismarck Tribune/Williston Herald - Oneok plans to expand its new natural gas liquids pipeline that runs from the Bakken to Kansas, and it also intends to add onto a new processing facility. The company’s Elk Creek Pipeline started operating in December. Read More
Community invited to 1 Million Cups March 4
Williston Economic Development - The community is invited to 1 Million Cups on Wednesday, March 4 at 8:30 a.m. at the Williston Community Library. The guest speakers will be Jeff Zarling from Roughneck Coffee and Emily Schroeder from Dakota Business Lending.

Save the date for the Open House on Monday, API Meeting on Tuesday, 1 Million Cups, Financial Summit and Williston Square Public Meeting on Wednesday, the Deal Makers Conference, State of the City Address and Business After Hours on Thursday and Awards Banquet on Friday!

The meeting will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Williston Area Recreation Center.

The community is invited to attend the meeting at 8:30 a.m. at the Williston Community Library. Presentations will feature Dakota Business Lending and Roughneck Coffee. Complimentary coffee will be provided by Roughneck Coffee.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at the Williams County Administration Building.

The 35th annual event will be held at the Raymond Family Community Center. Check out the newest models of boats, RVs, ATVs, grills, outdoor furniture and much more!

03/25 ------ NWND Semi-Annual Job Fair
The 2020 Spring Job Fair will be held at the Raymond Family Community Center.

03/31 ------ Lunch and Learn with Women’s Health Department
The seminar will feature new midwives and other health care professionals. The meeting will be held from 12-1 p.m. at the Williston ARC meeting room 1. RSVP by calling 701.774.7444.

04/01 ------ 1 Million Cups
Support local entrepreneurs by attending the one-hour meeting at 8:30 a.m. at place TBD. The presentations will feature Cooks on Main and US Census. Complimentary coffee will be provided by Cooks on Main.

The event will be held from 5-8 p.m. in Downtown Williston. Sponsored by the Williston Downtowners Association.

05/07 ------ State of the City Address
The public is invited to the meeting and free luncheon from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Grand Williston Hotel.

05/17-23 ------ National Public Works Week
The City of Williston Public Works Department will be hosting a community outreach day on May 20 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at our New Public Works Facility. Equipment will be on display and staff will be on hand to share information about the services we provide and the projects we are working on.

06/19 ------ Chamber of Commerce's Rockin' Ribfest

06/20 ------ Chamber of Commerce's Lemonade Day
Youth will set up lemonade stands across Williston.
