Williston City Commission approves $157,500 in STAR Fund Incentives
Williston Economic Development News Release - The Williston City Commission has awarded up to $157,500 in STAR Fund incentives to three projects at its meeting on Tuesday, November 10. The projects included Jaeb’s Thai Food, Little Muddy Gifts and Theodore Roosevelt Expressway Association (TRE). The STAR Fund is funded by Williston’s one cent city sales tax. Twenty-five percent of the sales tax is dedicated to jobs creation and community development while seventy-five percent is for infrastructure debt relief. Read More

Chamber News Release - Williston Area Chamber of Commerce partners with CHI St. Alexius Health Williston to provide masks to Small Businesses. CHI St. Alexius Health Williston has provided masks to the Chamber which will be distributed to small businesses ahead of the holiday shopping season and Small Business Saturday. Holiday Lights Tour November 27

Chamber News Release - This year, in lieu of a parade, the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce will be organizing the first annual Holiday Lights Tour. The Chamber invites all local businesses and organizations to decorate outside their offices, shops, restaurants or parking lots. On November 27, from 6-8 p.m. we invite the public to load up with their families, grab some hot cocoa at one of our local coffee shops or kiosks, and take a drive around town to see the displays! Watford City's Housing Subsidy Program helps attract Home Builders
McKenzie County Farmer - Two innovative housing programs that were created by the McKenzie County Job Development Authority (JDA) and funded by McKenzie County are making a big impact on bringing new homes on the market in the Watford City area. “So far we have had 13 houses closed totaling $4.8 million under the Housing Subsidy Program,” stated Daniel Stenberg, JDA executive director during the McKenzie County Commissioners meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 4. Minot Chamber, Development Corporation move forward on Merger
KFYR-TV - At the end of last year, the Minot Area Chamber of Commerce and the Minot Area Development Corporation began to plan a merger between the two, to better help serve the community. The two organizations have been taking the steps forward with the process like discussing a new name, how to deal with the dues and investments, and working with a lawyer on bylaws. Read More
