The City of Williston will be closed on Friday, July 3 in observance of the Fourth of July holiday. We will reopen on Monday, July 6. We wish everyone a great Fourth of July weekend!

STAR Fund helps Walt's Market improve Exterior
Williston Economic Development - Walt’s Market in Williston is getting an exterior facelift. The longtime meat shop located at 922 University Avenue is getting a fresh coat of paint, new awnings, new signage and more.
Owner Shanna Zaste says the makeover will pay tribute to Walt’s opening in 1942. “I just knew I wanted to do something nice and bring back some of the 1940’s feel,” said Zaste. In addition to the improvements, a mural will be custom painted on the north side of the building in the future. Walt’s received a Williston STAR Fund Mini Match in the amount of $5,000 for the project. 
Daily Addiction celebrates Reopening with Chamber Ribbon Cutting
Williston Economic Development - The Williston Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Daily Addiction Coffeehouse on Friday, June 26. The business is located at 307 Main Street in Downtown Williston.

Chamber Ribbon Cutting held at New Chatter Pediatric Walk-in Clinic
Williston Economic Development - The Williston Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting for Chatter Pediatric Walk-in Clinic on Friday, June 26. Chatter has expanded its pediatric services to include the walk-in clinic for newborns to young adults. Chatter is located at 221 University Avenue, Suite 102.
Fireworks Sales off to Strong Start
KUMV-TV - Firework sales in Williston are skyrocketing; something that’s happening all over the United States. Williston stands starting selling fireworks last weekend, and some owners say it was a bigger opening day than usual. “Everybody’s ready to break loose and start having a normal life again, you know?” said TNT Fireworks Owner Terry Gaudreau. “So, yeah I think that we’re going to have ultimately, we could have our busiest year ever, and I’m pretty positive that we will.” Read More
Williston's Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration to Happen

Williston Hera ld - Williston’s Fourth of July fireworks celebration will indeed go on, but with a few changes due to social distancing precautions. The show will take place at the Upper Missouri Valley Fairgrounds on July 4, kicking off at 10:45 p.m. Absent this year will be the food vendors and live music, but organizers say the fireworks will more than make up for it. Williston Community Library prepares to Reopen July 6

Connecting Communities BBQ July 15 in Williston
The community is invited to attend the Connecting Communities BBQ's on Wednesday, July 15 from 11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. and 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at Davidson Park. The BBQ's are free and open to the public. Sponsored by Western Region Economic Development, Rotary Club, Lions Club and Cherry Creek Radio.
Rockin' Ribfest July 25 in Downtown Williston
News Rele ase - The Williston Area Chamber of Commerce will hold Rockin’ Ribfest on July 25th, 2020 and is bringing the event back to its traditional location on Main Street in Downtown Williston. The day will be filled with food, fun, and games for the whole family. This event has free admittance and is open to the public. Read More

Williston Basin Petroleum Council - The North Dakota Petroleum Council announced today they are adding virtual features to the 28 th  Annual Williston Basin Petroleum Conference set to be held September 1-3, 2020 in Bismarck, N.D. Read More

Youth will set up lemonade stands beginning at noon in Williston.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at City Hall.

08/05 ------ 1 Million Cups Williston
The meeting will be held from 8:30-9:30 a.m. The location has yet to be determined.
